Wow. What an amazing wedding weekend over the fourth of July. As most of you know, NYC is my favorite place in the world. Naturally, I was ecstatic when I was asked to photograph Lisa and Oscar’s Wedding in the big apple. The day started with Lisa getting getting ready at the amazing venue the Manhattan Penthouse. This venue was located not far from NYU’s campus. The space was flooded with light and lots of color pops of color. This wedding was a 50’s throw back extravaganza. All of the guests wore black, red or white and every detail of the day matched these colors perfectly. There were balloons as center pieces, speciality NYC themed drinks and even cotton candy as a dessert option. It was truly beautiful and unique to say the least.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds, bridal party, family and myself heaeded over to Washington Park to snap a few cool pictures in front of the fountain. Once those were completed, the bridal party and family grabbed a few cabs and headed back to join in on the cocktail hour. This was when some really beautiful moments happened with Lisa and Oscar. They are one of the most fun and comfortable couples I have had the privilege to work with. Oscar and Lisa really enjoyed their wedding day and you could tell. What made their day even more special are the people involved. They had friends make their cake, play the piano, sing, DJ and much more.
